The easy way out, which also happens to be a solid choice, is to get bedside tables that match your bed. Feeling more adventurous? Mix up materials. If you have a solid wood bed, try metal nigh tables. Don’t limit yourself to furniture labeled “nightstand”. Side or accent tables work just as well and chests or cabinets make for a bold statement.
Scale is key here. Make sure you are looking at the height before purchasing a bedside table. It should be just as tall as the height at which your mattress reaches. You can get away with a few inches taller as well.
As far as what goes atop your bedside table? Less is more- your favorite book, a masculine scented candle, and a unique catch-all for your sacred items make for the perfect display.
